…that’s pronounced neesh, by the way.

For an online writer, niche refers to his target audience or market. Keep your writing tightly aligned with a particular niche, and it improves SEO, which makes it easier for folks to find your writing in the vast expanse of the world wide web.  Good advice.

But if there is anything I’m not, it’s niche. I am an eclectic—not philosophically—as in the ancient classical sense; but in my interests and disciplines.

  • a person who derives interests, ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

I work as a writer and artist in several media. I was a foodie eons before it was a word—I think we used to call them gastronomes.  I’m crazy about being frugal.  I’m a certified Family Herbalist who’s nutz about nutrition and wellness.  I love science, and God, and my family.  And I have musings on just about any topic you could possibly think up.
 

So the niche-est thing about this site is hopeless eclecticism.  I hope to share my artwork, quilts and needle-craft designs with you here.  You’ll find great recipes and discover something of my philosophy on nutrition and what makes good food great.  And you will get to experience, if a bit vicariously, some of what it means to be a Cajun wife and mom, and what it is like to live in Acadiana—the heart of Cajun Country.

So, I hope you will enjoy my musings.  I’m looking forward to hearing from you, and hoping you will stop by to check in often.♥
